2 hours away from the city is the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, the first of its kind in the country. The sanctuary supports elephant relocation programs, which has been deemed a necessity for the survival of this dwindling beast by the National Department of Wildlife and National Parks. Experience hand feeding the elephants and take an elephant ride or enjoy a bath together with them in a river. Along the way, drive past an aboriginal village.
